In case you are not familiar with CLOT, it happens to be the name of a Hong Kong-based fashion/streetwear label. It was founded back in 2003 by Canadian actor and rapper Edison Chen and Hong Kong-based entrepreneur and fashion designer Kevin Poon. Earlier this year in February, CLOT celebrated its 15th Anniversary by showcasing its “PAST. PRESENT. FUTURE.” collection during New York Fashion Week. The collection featured a number of upcoming collaborations with brands like Converse, Fear of God, Medium Rare, and others. CLOT is known for being a part of many impressive collaborations, such as this latest one with Jordan Brand that involves the Air Jordan 13 Low.
A Brief Overview Of The CLOT Lifestyle Brand & Streetwear Label
The core CLOT label even has a few extensions, namely CLOTTE and CLOT Royale Silk. While there has never been a former Jordan Brand collaboration, CLOT did team up with NikeLab back in August to celebrate the opening of its JUICE LA fashion and lifestyle stored. JUICE offers a variety of “curated apparel and goods.” The collaboration between CLOT and NikeLab led to the exclusive release of two different Air Force 1 colorways dubbed “Spider Web” and “Star All Over.” Both of them were exclusively available on August 5th at the JUICE store that is located at 801 Mateo Street in Los Angeles.
This Air Jordan 13 Low Is Inspired By The Terracotta Army
The Air Jordan 13 Low colorway you see here is perhaps the most unique one of the model that you have seen in recent times. For this iteration, CLOT and Jordan Brand drew inspiration from the Terracotta Army sculptures of the armies of China’s first Emperor, Qin Shi Huang. Its color scheme is inspired by the hues of terracotta clay, while its waffle-like side panels have been designed to resemble the armor that the Terracotta Army sculptures are wearing. Metallic Gold medallions in the shape of the CLOT logo and the “Jumpman” can be spotted on the outer sides and the tongues.
