This year, an NBA exhibition game is set to take place in Africa for the very first time. Chris Paul is one of the 20 NBA stars who are currently South Africa, preparing for the game that will take place in downtown Johannesburg at a small arena. Not so long ago, Chris Paul was busy dismissing rumors that there was some tension between him and DeAndre Jordan and his summer has apparently gotten even livelier. Perhaps that is why he recently decided to lace up in a colorway of the Air Jordan 6 that has not hit the shelves yet, but will be arriving at retailers on of the upcoming August jordan 2015 release dates.
The exact time frame of the exhibition game is yet to be announced. Adam Silver, who is the NBA Commissioner, has alluded that a pre-season game followed by a regular-season game are also going to take place before the exhibition. Apparently, NBA is experimenting since the people of Africa are mostly crazy about soccer, so they want to see what kind of a response they will receive. Apart from Chris Paul, Luol Deng is also in South Africa as a part of the 20 NBA stars that will be playing.
Chris Paul himself has also been joining Jordan Brand in making appearances at other basketball events as well, such as Summer League games. At the moment, he is also happens to be an ambassador for NBA’s outreach in Africa, where he is serving as a coach and mentor for youngsters who love basketball and wish to play in the NBA like Chris some day. Earlier this summer, Chris Paul was mostly laced up in the Air Jordan 6 Low “Ghost Green,” but during his visit to Africa he has been spotted wearing another upcoming colorway of the Air Jordan 6 Low, namely the “Black/Chrome.”
This Air Jordan 6 rendition, which is dressed up in a combination of the two hues that are a part of its nickname, originally made its original retail debut 13 years ago. While the colorway itself does look more fitting to be dropped in the winter, but the low-cut form of the silhouette is ideal for the summer months. As confirmed in June, August 22nd is one of the upcoming Jordan release dates 2015 when Jordanheads will also be able to sport the Air Jordan 6 Low “Black/Chrome” just like Chirs Paul is in these photos.
