This previous Tuesday, the New York Knicks were on a three-game win streak and things seemed to be going pretty well for the team. The same day, Phil Jackson appeared on the CBS Sports Network show, We Need to Talk. Oddly enough, the president of the New York Knicks criticized Carmelo, calling him a “ball hog.” Many reading this post will agree that it was quite uncalled for, especially considering that Carmelo has been playing for Phil for more than ten years. It is a good thing that Carmelo has gotten over the whole situation, considering that that the latest addition in his signature line will debut in 2017.
Considering that Phil Jackson was formerly the coach of the Los Angeles Lakers, it makes sense that Carmelo sought out the the advice of the “Black Mamba” on how to deal with the situation. Apparently Carmelo and Kobe Bryant have had “countless conversations” and the former shooting guard of the LA Lakers told him that he nobody cannot stop Phil from talking, that it is a habit of his. Kobe advised Carmelo not to “read into [Phil’s criticism] too much.” Kobe himself has been criticized by Phil numerous times and so it is certainly the right advice for Carmelo to put it all behind him, which he has.
Soon after Nike’s recent unveil of the Nike Air Force 1 Mid “Red October,” Jordan Brand also decided introduce a Red October-themed sneaker. The model they have chosen to be dressed up in the color scheme is the latest, yet-to-debut installment in Carmelo Anthony’s signature line, the Melo M13. The Melo M13 is quite a complex silhoeutte, with its rubberized synthetic overlays, mesh medial sides and rubberized midsoles, all of which are entirely dressed up in a tonal Red hue.
Perhaps the trend of all-Red sneakers might resurface after the kicks mentioned in this post end up hitting the shelves. Even though release details have not been disclosed, sneakerheads can still get a good look at the Jordan Melo M13 “Red October” and expect it to be a part of the Jordan releases 2017.
