Apparently, Carmelo Anthony is interested in getting traded by the New York Knicks and it seems that the Knicks are more than willing to trade him. However, the problem is that there is a no-trade clause in his contract, and it seems that Carmelo is interested in joining the Houston Rockets by waiving that clause. Carmelo was once considering joining the Cleveland Cavaliers too, but not anymore since the team is in mayhem with Kyrie Irving demanding to be traded. Of course, being traded will not affect his relationship with Jordan Brand. In fact, Carmelo Anthony may have been spotted rocking his latest signature sneaker, the Jordan Melo M14.
The Jordan Melo M13 was officially unveiled back in December 2016 and that was when the technical specifications of the model were also confirmed by Jordan Brand. According to Jordan Brand, Melo M13 featured mesh uppers covered in Kurim overlays. It was also revealed the sneaker was equipped with the FlightSpeed cushioning system and unlocked Zoom Air was incorporated into the forefoot of each shoe. Additionally, the Melo M13 also featured Flight Speed traction rubber outsoles that had a modified traction pattern underneath them, resulting in an enhanced grip. As sneakerheads might recall, the Jordan Melo M13 made its retail debut in a tonal all-Red colorway.
Carmelo’s social media skills are nothing short of All-Star level and this off-season, he has been busy improving them. As mentioned, Carmelo is eagerly waiting for the New York Knicks to trade him to a suitable team, preferably the Houston Rockets. Recently though, he and DeMar DeRozan were working out together, and Carmelo was spotted laced up in an all-Black, never-before-seen sneaker. The sneaker appeared to have breathable mesh uppers, fuse toecaps, and the usual firm ankle collars and heels. It is being reported that the sneaker Carmelo was spotted wearing might actually be an early sample of the Jordan Melo M14.
Of course, there is no way of knowing if Carmelo was actually rocking a sample of his own new, upcoming signature sneaker silhouette. For now, all sneakerheads can do is keep checking back for more news and updates about the Jordan Melo M14, and whether or not it will join upcoming Jordan releases 2017.
