The Bred-Themed Air Jordan 13 “Black/True Red” Returns Once Again In 2017

As the 1998 NBA Finals was coming to an end, both Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls were seemingly exhausted. It almost seemed like the Chicago Bulls would not end up winning their 6th NBA title. With merely 37 seconds remaining on the clock, Michael Jordan reasserted his position as the G.O.A.T. and the rest of the Bulls followed in his footsteps, providing to be one of the league’s best basketball teams. At the last moment, Michael Jordan made a game-winning jumpman shot and scored 45 points. 1998 was also the same year in which the returning Air Jordan 13 OG “Black/True Red” debuted.

It almost seemed as if Michael Jordan would not have been able to top his Game 5 performance from the year before that, but he actually managed to do it. Considering how critical the situation had been, Michael Jordan’s performance was one of the best that anyone has ever given in the entire history of the NBA. Even though Michael Jordan retired from the sport of basketball for a second time after that game, he gave the public a memorable and unforgettable performance that is remembered to this very day.

Following its original retail debut in 1998, the classic Air Jordan 13Bred” received the retro treatment twice, once in 2004 and again in 2013. Rumor has it that the sneaker will be making a comeback soon, joining Jordan Brand’s lineup of Air Jordan releases 2017. For sneakerheads who do not know, the sneaker has uppers made up of a combination of Black-colored leather and 3M reflective mesh material, Red-colored suede overlays have also been incorporated onto it. Of course, along with the model’s signature branding, the circular hologram depicting the “Jumpman” logo on each heel is also present.
