Jordanheads who are already aware that this Air Jordan 12 colorway exists and have come across details regarding its sizing have probably been scratching their heads. They have likely been wondering why Jordan Brand could not have crafted the Air Jordan 12 GS “University Blue” to be available in adult sizes too. Unfortunately, this sneaker will only be worth copping for those who happen to be small-footed enough that they are able to lace up in GS-sized kicks. While this sneaker joins all the other Air Jordan 12 iterations that are scheduled to arrive, it is not the only one to sport the “University Blue” hue.
In the case of the twelfth Air Jordan model, it seems that Jordan Brand is really living up to the idiom, “the more the merrier.” There are already plenty of OG colorways of the Air Jordan 12 that are on their way, but Jordan Brand has not shied away from introducing some new renditions for the silhouette as well. One such fresh, non-OG colorway that has been whipped up by Jordan Brand quite recently features a combination of grey, university blue and white. The color placement of this one actually resembles that of the Air Jordan 12 “Obsidian,” but grey is the primary tone while UNC-inspired blue only appears as accents.
As for the GS-exclusive colorway, it features clean white leather uppers while the branding, heels, inner lining and sole units are dressed up in the contrasting university blue hue. Moreover, to enable this sneaker to boast a bit of a luxuriant aesthetic, the top eyelets are covered in gold, which is one of the reasons all the adults reading this must be wishing they could fit into a pair too.
Unfortunately they cannot, but for those who can, the Air Jordan 12 GS “University Blue” will make its retail debut on April 2nd. As for the other Air Jordan 12 “Grey/University Blue,” it is scheduled to hit the shelves on July 25th.
