Amidst this month’s Air Jordan releases 2019, Jordan Brand will release an Air Jordan 3 “Tinker” inspired by the original Nike Air Max 1. If you know your sneaker history well enough, you may have probably figured out why Jordan Brand has chosen to draw inspiration from the Nike Air Max 1 OG colorway for this upcoming Air Jordan 3 “Tinker” iteration. It was Tinker Hatfield who actually began working on the Air Max 1 back in the mid-1980s, applying his architectural background to the design of the sneaker model. Ultimately, the Air Max 1 debuted on March 26th, 1987 as Nike’s first sneaker model equipped with Air cushioning.
As you may know, Jordan Brand‘s Holiday Season lineup of Air Jordan releases 2018 includes a snowflake-inspired Grade School-sized colorway. Coincidentally, one of Jordan Brand’s recent Air Jordan 8 releases was actually spring-themed. If you are wondering, it was the Air Jordan 8 “South Beach” that was dressed up in hues typically associated with spring break in South Beach, Florida. Of course, this latest colorway of the Air Jordan 8 is completely the opposite since it is inspired by the blizzards and snowfalls of winter.
