One of Jordan Brand’s upcoming Air Jordan releases 2019 will a Why Not Zer0.2 colorway paying tribute to Russell Westbrook’s deceased friend. Every opportunity he gets, Russell Westbrook honors his late friend, Khelcey Barrs III. Khelcey has been a source of inspiration and motivation for him. Remembering his friend has given Russell Westbrook an extra drive and push throughout his professional basketball career. Consequently, not only has he become one of the greatest talents in the sports and accomplish what Khelcey could potentially have, had he still been around today. Thus, Russell Westbrook has nicknamed his latest Jordan Why Not Zer0.2 colorway Khelcey Barrs III.
A camouflaged-covered iteration of Russell Westbrook’s Jordan Why Not Zer0.2 made its retail debut among recent Air Jordan releases 2019. Inspired by Russell Westbrook’s fashion sense and style, Jordan Brand initially assumed that it would be better off with a lifestyle sneaker model like the Westbrook 0. It was not until last year that Russell Westbrook received his own signature basketball sneaker model in the form of the Why Not Zer0.1, which debuted on February 15th, 2018. Jordan Brand kicked off this year by releasing its successor, the Jordan Why Not Zer0.2, which made its retail debut on January 10th, 2019 in a “Future History” colorway.
It seems that these four brand new colorways of the Jordan Why Not Zer0.2 will be among the Air Jordan releases 2019 this summer. Until the beginning of last year, Russell Westbrook did not officially have a signature basketball sneaker model that he could rock on the court. That all changed when Jordan Brand released the Why Not Zer0.1 on January 15th, 2018 at a price of $125. This year marked the retail debut of his second signature model, the Jordan Why Not Zer0.2, which hit the shelves in a “Future History” colorway. Since then, several unique colorways have arrived at retailers and four others are on their way.
One of three colorways of the Jordan Why Not Zer0.2 that will be joining next month’s Air Jordan releases 2019 has been dubbed “The Family.” Russell Westbrook’s second signature sneaker model from Jordan Brand made its retail debut earlier last month on January 10th at a price of $130. Soon after its retail debut, Jordan Brand-sponsored collegiate teams also received exclusive iterations of the Why Not Zer0.2 sporting their respective team colors. In addition to the “BHM” color that will hit the shelves next month, a Jordan Why Not Zer0.2 colorway dubbed “Own The Game” will also be a part of Jordan Brand’s 2019 NBA All-Star Footwear Collection.
