The Air Jordan 6 Low “Infrared” arrived at select retailers on one of this year’s initial July Jordan release dates 2015, but for some reason the sneaker did fly off the shelves as quickly as expected. In fact, many of the retailers, where the sneaker made its comeback, still have it available for those interested in copping it. One of the reasons sneakerheads may not have liked them is because they were extremely plain, and apparently The Game would agree with them because the West Coast rapper copped a pair and got it customized.
As mentioned, the Air Jordan 6 Low was slated to be one of the biggest July 2015 Jordan release dates and Jordan Brand dropped the sneaker during the 4th of July weekend. The “White Infrared” colorway also marked the very first comeback that the low-top form of the Air Jordan 6 made this year. Apparently the problem with this colorway was that its leather upper was entirely dressed up in crisp, pure White, with the only complementary hues being the minimal traces of Black and Infrared that can be spotted. While the addition of tumbled leather overlays set the sneaker apart from others, they are also covered in white.
However, The Game apparently found a solution to make his Air Jordan 6 Low “White Infrared” pair stand out from the crowd. Since he was supposed to attend the premier of the recently released biographical drama, Straight Outta Compton, he decided to pay celebrity artist John Born a visit and get his “Infrared” pair customized. As can be seen in the photo, portraits of all five members of the NWA as well as the NWA and Straight Outta Compton logos have been added on the side panels.
Surprisingly, it took John Born just a couple of hours to customize these kicks. However, it is unlikely that The Game will ever want to part with his custom Straight Outta Compton Air Jordan 6 Low “White Infrared” pair. It is also unlikely that Jordan Brand will drop such a detailed sneaker on any upcoming Jordan release dates 2015.
