It would not be too farfetched to regard the University of North Carolina Tar Heels as a Jordan Brand sponsored team. This Saturday, they were scheduled to face the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, but that game was rescheduled to take place on Sunday at Greensboro Coliseum Complex in Greensboro, North Carolina. Originally, ESPN was going to broadcast the game, but it seems that ESPN News ended up televising it. The Tar Heel Sports Network radio station also ended up broadcasting the game. While it was uncertain what kicks the Tar Heels would be laced up in, many were expecting they would end up rocking these new Air Jordan PEs. With the NCAA College Basketball Tournament underway, it is only natural that collegiate basketball teams have been making headlines in the world of sneakers, specifically those from Jordan Brand. It was almost two months ago that Jordan Brand unveiled the Air Jordan 30 in Chicago at a live event on January 14th and nearly a month after that the thirtieth Air Jordan model debuted on February 12th. The Duke University Blue Devils and the University of North Carolina Tar Heels happen to be top rivals in college basketball met this Wednesday to settle the score.
