One of this year’s most anticipated Air Jordan releases 2018 from Jordan Brand’s Spring lineup was the returning Air Jordan 18 in retro form. The Air Jordan 18 was the last signature model from Jordan Brand that was worn by Michael Jordan on his court, during the brief period after his 2001 return when he played as a member of the Washington Wizards. The first month of this year marked the comeback of the Air Jordan 18 Retro “Sport Royal,” which retailed at a price of $225 on January 22nd, 2018. After fifteen years, the Air Jordan 18 Retro will soon arrive in a brand new “Red Suede” colorway. Continue reading This Ferrari-Like Air Jordan 18 “Red Suede” Colorway Is Arriving In April 2018
Near the end of last month, sneakerheads got an incomplete look at the upcoming “Red Suede” iteration of the Air Jordan 5. Soon after, a far clearer photo of the sneaker popped up, which provides a detailed look at it, as can be seen above. As of now, it seems that @zsneakerheadz has shared photos of three different, brand new colorways of the Air Jordan 5. The most recent colorway of the model that joined the Air Jordan releases 2017 was a part of Jordan Brand’s “Take Flight” Pack. Hopefully, all of these Air Jordan 5 releases, even the “Red Suede” one, will end up arriving at retailers soon. Jordan Brand and Nike do not produce all-Red sneakers very frequently. Arguably, one of Nike’s most iconic and popular all-Red sneakers was the Air Yeezy 2 “Red October,” which made its retail debut back in February 2014. Back in December 2016, the Air Jordan 12 seemed to have received the “Red October” treatment. It was Instagram user @chickenwop_ who shared two different photos of the all-Red Air Jordan 12 iteration, which never really arrived at retailers last year but it might in 2017. Regardless, Jordan Brand already seems to have whipped up a brand new, nearly all-Red sneaker, this time utilizing the Air Jordan 5 as the base. One of this past weekend’s biggest Jordan releases was that of the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “Black Toe.” Many sneakerheads may not have been able to cop a pair, fortunately this week, they will be able to get their hands on a premium suede iteration of the Air Jordan 12, namely the “Deep Royal Blue” colorway. Nike has even published official photos of the sneaker, which is entirely dressed up in the Deep Royal Blue, while Metallic Blue can be spotted over the upper eyelets. At the same time, it seems that the Air Jordan 12 Low will also receive the suede treatment next year. Continue reading The Air Jordan 12 Low Will Also Receive The Suede Treatment In 2017
Sometime prior to October, there had been rumors that that Jordan Brand was going to drop the Air Jordan XI Low in a blue suede colorway. However, 23 is Back readers can expect that another similar new jordans will be accompanying it. Quite recently, photos of another Air Jordan XI Low pair surfaced on the Internet in which they can be seen boasting a red suede upper. However, there are no signs of any upcoming 2014 or 2015 Jordan release dates associated with either of these Air Jordan XI Low sneakers.
It is a well-known fact that over the past year or so, black and red Air Jordan sneakers have been rather popular. So, it makes sense that Jordan Brand is perhaps preparing to release two new iterations of the Air Jordan XI Low in these two colors. One thing that it is for certain is that the red suede version is indeed a sample for now, since the inside of the heel is stamped with “SAMPLE.” However, 23isBack should keep in mind that Nike does not mark their samples this way, so perhaps this red suede sneaker is a factory sample. However, that still does not explain how authenticsolekicks was able to post photos of the pair on Instagram.
Apart from the color, the “Black Suede” and “Red Suede” colorways of the Air Jordan XI Low look identical to each other. This means that ballistic mesh has been mixed with suede panels rather than the trademark patent leather. The inner lining is in black and the midsole is in white, while the laces and the icy, translucent outsole is in red.
The concept behind these two Air Jordan XI Low pairs is definitely quite interesting and 23 is Back readers can expect both of them to be released soon, either separately or simultaneously. Although even depeche23mode and icyheatsole have been posted photos of the Air Jordan XI Low “Red Suede,” no Jordan release dates 2014 have been confirmed for either version.
23isBACK.me assures Jordan Brand fans that the release date of Jordan 14 “Red Suede” is very near. Images of this retro colorway of Jordan 14 emerged on May 20, 2014. It apparently took 10 years for Jordan Brand footwear designers to finally complete designing this pair, and now this “Red Suede” colorway will be making its retail debut very soon.
A while ago, readers might remember getting a glimpse at Gentry Humphrey’s (Jordan Brand Business Director) sample rack. In the photo, a pair was spotted that was suspected to be the “Red Suede” colorway of Jordan 14, but it actually was not. Based on the latest images of the “Red Suede” sneakers, the red upper of this pair seems to have a darker tone, while bright yellow can also be spotted on a variety of elements and the midsole has a special print.
Ever since this “Red Suede” colorway of Jordan 14 was revealed, it added a bit of depth to the 2014 run of the Air Jordan XIVs. Rich red suede is featured across the upper while the black and yellow complement the red in the form of accents. Back in the days, inspiration for Jordan 14 had come from the fact that Michael Jordan loved the Ferrari. It seems that the inspiration for this pair also comes from there, but has been taken to a whole new level. Apart from the overall red suede body, this pair also features touches of carbon fiber and a black/yellow logo as well.
Carbon fiber as the material of choice for the accents on a pair of sneakers is certainly something new that Jordan Brand has done. Jordan 14 “Red Suede” leaves no room for doubts that they have indeed been inspired from Michael Jordan’s favorite car. Although the exact release date is yet to be announced, 23isBACK.me is assuring everyone that they will be informed as soon as the date is announced.
