When it comes to the men’s and women’s pairs of the Air Jordan 12, the size difference is obviously the most certain way of telling them apart. While the size difference is not always apparent, especially in photos, fortunately there is another way to distinguish a men’s Air Jordan 12 pair from a GS-sized one. Namely, Air Jordan 12 pairs in men’s sizes tend to have an additional ninth eyelet, which is present above the model’s two signature metal loops. The fact that the Air Jordan 12 “Hyper Jade” does not have a ninth eyelet as can be in the above photos, hence it is GS-sized. A paramount Air Jordan restock took place not so long ago at City Blue Shop, which has been innovating and leading the way in the world of urban fashion for as long as Jordan Brand have been in existence. For quite some time, City Blue Shop have been carrying on a tradition of sharing a link on their Twitter timeline every Monday and they refer to it as Mystery Mondays. Usually, each new link redirects sneakerheads to the authorized Mystery Mondays collection of that particular week, which generally includes restocked sneakers. Back near the end of October, Nike and the Portland, Oregon-based OHSU Doernbecher Children’s Hospital unveiled 2015’s twelfth annual Doernbecher Freestyle collection. The collection marked the Jordan release a special Air Jordan 13 iteration that was created by one of the six chosen patients from the hospital. The model was the Air Jordan 12 and one of the twelve pairs that were created has become available on retail. It is probably not news to 23isBack readers that this is a very new era for the sneaker game. Despite the back and forth Jordan release dates 2014, perhaps one the greatest things that have happened this year is the two sneaker restocks that had recently taken place. Word had already gotten out last week that big Air Jordan restocks would be taking place at Finish Line and Villa on April 19. However, it did not take long for news to spread that Eastbay was also following in their footsteps, and would be having a restock bigger than the other two.
The enormous restock of Air Jordans that Eastbay had been planning went down on July 22. A day earlier, Eastbay had posted a Tweet on their Twitter account confirming that the restock would indeed be happening the following day, and it did. Even better, some of the better Retro Jordan releases of 2013 and 2014 hit the Eastbay shelves thanks to this restock. One detail that needs to be mentioned is that just like the Finish Line and Villa restocks, Eastbay restock also consisted of larger sized Air Jordan Retros.
