From the looks of it, this latest colorway of the Air Jordan 1 Mid appears to be borrowing from a classic iteration worn by Michael Jordan. As of this year, Jordan Brand seems of have released numerous Air Jordan 1 Mid colorways, even special ones like the “Equality” colorway for Black History Month. Last month, the Air Jordan 1 Mid was even transformed into football cleats. Another iteration featuring uppers covered in “Jordan” and “Jumpman” prints was also unveiled, while more recent releases include the “Taxi Yellow” and the “Maybe I Destroyed The Game” colorways. The iteration seen here though somewhat resembles an iconic Air Jordan 1 High colorway.
Arguably, the biggest Air Jordan 6 release of 2016 was the “Black Cat” iteration that Jordan Brand dropped on the last day of the previous year, i.e. December 31st. However, it is not the only colorway dubbed “Black Cat” that Jordan Brand has whipped up in recent times. January’s Air Jordan releases 2017 included the Air Jordan 13 “Black Cat,” which makes even more sense considering that the silhouette itself was modeled after a black panther. Appearing on Monday Night Raw for the second time since he made his unexpected and well-received comeback, Shane McMahon was once again spotted rocking an Air Jordan pair in the ring.
