Those who have been paying attention to Jordan release 2014 dates and news, whether on 23IsBACK.me or elsewhere, they most likely would have gotten a first look at the soon-to-be-released Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “Carmine”. As revealed for the very first time, the pair will be released in a Black/Red/White colorway with a translucent sole. It should be obvious that they have been inspired from the Air Jordan VI’s “Carmine” colorway, while the color-blocking is similar to that of the Air Jordan 1 High.
The Air Jordan 1 “Carmine” makes its retail debut on May 24th, 2014. Some readers may have found it surprising that these sneakers are from the Retro High OG variety since an Air Jordan 1 ’91 design had been expected, so that the sneakers would be closer linked up with the AJ 6. These sneakers, especially their ice clear outsoles, are definitely somewhat reminiscent of the Air Jordan 6s.
In fact, the “Carmine” colorway itself was last seen on the Air Jordan 6s, and now it has taken form on these Air Jordan 1 Retro High OGs. The upper of these shoes sports the Air Jordan logo, Carmine red and white paneling, the white overlaying the red, with subtle black accents on the swoosh, and traditional Chicago Bulls-style lining.
