It seems that one of Jordan Brand’s upcoming Air Jordan releases 2019 is being designed in collaboration with A Ma Maniére. Nike was the first to collaborate with the Atlanta-based streetwear store this year, near the end of January. Although the two “Northern Lights” colorways of the Nike Air Max 720 were scheduled to make their retail debut on February 1st, 2019 at a price of $180, they had arrived early, exclusively at A Ma Maniére on January 28th, 2019. The pairs of the debuting Air Max 720 at A Ma Maniére were sold at a first–come basis, complete with a limited edition, special packaging.
Some of this year‘s Air Jordan releases 2018 just got restocked on the Nike SNKRS app via the Jordan Reserve program. Nike introduced the Jordan Reserve program back in August. It was devised as a means to reward Jordan Brand’s loyal customers in specific cities, who happen to use the Nike SNKRS app. The program was launched in Detroit city and in order to unlock “Air Access,” sneakerheads had to visit the local Nike Community Store. Similar to the iOS-only SNKRS Stash, the SNKRS Cam has to be used at a special, specified location in order complete a purchase made via the Jordan Reserve program.

In addition to releasing new Air Jordan releases 2018 before the year ends, Nike recently hired a new President for Jordan Brand. Until recently, Larry Miller was the President of Jordan Brand. In fact, just last year he shed light on the challenges involved in keep Jordan Brand at the top and relevant. Apparently, Jordan Brand’s biggest challenge has been to familiarize young consumers with Michael Jordan’s legacy and stay connected with them. He also mentioned the fact that the Air Jordan re-sale market has dwindled. Hopefully, Jordan Brand’s recently hired, new President will help further establish it as a premium brand and deepen its connections with its consumers.
