Last year back in December, Jordan Brand made an announcement about the second round of their Retro Remaster initiative. Jordan Brand claimed that retro Air Jordan sneakers tend to remind wearers of a particular game or moment from Michael Jordan’s illustrious career. Jordan Brand had already kick started the “remastered” initiative in 2015, so Jordanheads were already quite familiar with it. The main premise of their next Retro Remaster initiative was to bring back the heel Nike Air logo on retro Air Jordan sneakers. Not all Jordanheads may agree that Air Jordan 5 is the “Greatest Air Jordan of All Time” but Tinker Hatfield certainly seems to believe that it is the best silhouette he has designed for Jordan Brand. Tinker began designing for Jordan Brand with the Air Jordan 3 and while the Air Jordan 5 is regarded as a modified version of the Air Jordan 4, the fifth model is far advanced. Not only the silhouette of the Air Jordan 5, but its embroidered NIKE AIR logos, reflective tongues and translucent rubber outsoles make this fact quite obvious. Spring has already begun and a few months later it will be summer, so it is not surprising that Jordan Brand is hoping to set fire to the scorching summer heat with a very special release.
