Drake and Jordan Brand pay tribute to Charles Oakley with this Air Jordan 8 PE, which may or may not join upcoming Air Jordan releases 2019. Much like Jordan Brand, “Toronto’s Very Own” Drake has had close ties with the Toronto Raptors, the team that Charles Oakley was a member of between 1998 and 2001. Since the Air Jordan 8 is one of Drake’s favorite sneaker models from Jordan Brand, an Air Jordan 8 “OVO” Pack was released last year on February 16th, 2018.
Nike’s annual N7 Collection is returning and it will include an Air Jordan 8 that will join the Air Jordan releases 2019 in November. Since 2009, Nike has annually teamed up with Jordan Brand to release an N7 collection in support of the N7 Fund. The concept of the N7 Fund dates back to 2000, to the vision of Sam McCracken, who is a member of the Fort Peck Assiniboine & Sioux Tribes in northeastern Montana. His partnership with Nike led to the formation of the brand’s Native American division. The Fall 2018 N7 collection included the Air Jordan 1 Retro High Strap and the Jordan Why Not Zer0.1.
The Air Jordan 8 will be joining upcoming Air Jordan releases 2019 in another “Aqua” colorway, which is actually a women’s variation. Last year in 2019, Jordan Brand released several different brand new colorways of the Air Jordan 8. It all started with the two Air Jordan 8 “OVO” colorways that Jordan Brand released during the 2019 NBA All–Star Weekend. Other Air Jordan 8 releases from last year included the “Valentine’s Day” colorway for women, the “South Beach” colorway, the colorway inspired by the Nike Air Raid OG, and the “Snowflake” colorway. Now it seems that an alternative of a former Air Jordan 8 colorway is on its way.
As you may know, Jordan Brand‘s Holiday Season lineup of Air Jordan releases 2018 includes a snowflake-inspired Grade School-sized colorway. The colorway being referred to is the Air Jordan 8 GS “Snowflake” or “Snow Blizzard,” which was first seen back in October. Coincidentally, one of Jordan Brand’s recent Air Jordan 8 releases was actually spring-themed. If you are wondering, it was the Air Jordan 8 “South Beach” that was dressed up in hues typically associated with spring break in South Beach, Florida. Of course, this latest colorway of the Air Jordan 8 is completely the opposite since it is inspired by the blizzards and snowfalls of winter.
