Just recently, 23 is Back readers were given their glance at the Black variation of the “Quai 54” Air Jordan 13 Low. However, new photos have been unleashed on the Web that provide a better, clearer look at the sneaker that will hit the shelves in support of the French Streetball tournament the colorway is named after. Collectors have already started coveting this special Air Jordan 13 Low rendition even though none of next month’s Jordan release dates 2015 have been confirmed yet for the arrival of these kicks and their white counterpart.
As mentioned in the earlier post, the two installments of the “Quai 54” Air Jordan 13 Low are being referred to as “Home” and “Away” versions, the latter being the black pair that is being discussed. Back when Jordan Brand had introduced several never-before-seen OG colorways of the Air Jordan 13, they had all sported a reflective nylon upper. However, it has been a long time since this material has been featured on Jordan Brand’s thirteenth signature model, at least until now. This low-top form of the Air Jordan 13 will also mark the return of reflective nylon.
As is being mentioned, the Black upper of this sneaker is made up of nylon material that gives off a reflective luster. It was also mentioned in the previous post that both the Black and White Jordan Low 13 “Quai 54” pairs sport paneling near the midsole, extending from the middle of the shoe all the way around the heel, which is covered in unique patterns. To signify the sneaker’s reference to the streetball tournament that is held every year in France, the tongue also features the Quai 54 logo. Of course, this pair has the signature Jordan 13 midsole and outsole, which is combination of White and Red, respectively.
In comparison to both high and low cut forms of the Air Jordan 13 that have arrived at retailers in the past, this sneaker and its counterpart are perhaps the most distinct ones. There is still on confirmation from Jordan Brand on when the two pairs can be expected to make their retail debut. However, since the tournament itself is taking place next month, so both the “Home” and “Away” versions of the Air Jordan 13 Low “Quai 54” will be up for grabs on one of the upcoming Jordan release dates 2015.
