Warner Brothers released Space Jam back in 1996 and twenty years have passed ever since. Thus, this year marks the 20th anniversary of the animated/live-action comedy sports film that starred Michael Jordan and a plethora of Looney Tunes cartoon characters. Ever since last year, it was being predicted and rumored that the Jumpman would commemorate the film’s 20th anniversary with the Air Jordan 11 “Space Jam.” The predictions and rumors proved to be true recently when the sneaker was finally unveiled and the latest news is that it will be accompanied by an entire Space Jam Collection.
The fact of the matter is that Jordanheads likely already know what the Air Jordan 11 “Space Jam” looks like, considering that the G.O.A.T. rocked the sneaker in the film. Much like the highly coveted and iconic original, this year’s version is also an all-black sneaker is equipped with all-white soles and is highlighted by a royal blue-colored Jumpman. It is uncertain whether it was leaked, but only a singular photo of the Air Jordan 11 “Space Jam” has managed to pop up online and it could be considered somewhat of a remastered edition.
However, the arrival of the Air Jordan 11 “Space Jam” is not the only thing that sneakerheads will now have to look forward to. Apparently, Jordan Brand have an entire Space Jam Collection in the works that pays homage to the famous film in which Michael Jordan played basketball with cartoon characters. While the actual contents of the collection have not yet been revealed, the photos seen here provide a decent idea of what the included hats, jerseys, t-shirts, and more will look like.
Jordanheads had likely been assuming they would just cop the Air Jordan 11 “Space Jam” once its Jordan release dates would take place. Although they will have to spend more, but now they will be able to get their hands on an incredible Space Jam Collection.
