Andre Johnson Wore This Hurricanes-Themed Air Jordan 11 At The Russell Athletic Bowl

In this year’s recent Russell Athletic Bowl, the University of Miami Hurricanes were triumphant against the University of West Virginia Mountaineers. This victory marked the first bowl victory for the Hurriances in the past ten years. It is being expected that Brad Kaaya’s career as of the quarterbacks of the Miami Hurriances is also coming to an end. Brad completed the season with 7 picks and 27 takedowns, and soon he will be making his NFL decision after doing “some soul searching.” Hurriances alumni Andre Johnson just drew attention towards his Instagram for another reason, a photo of a never-before-seen Miami Hurricanes-themed Air Jordan 11 that he posted.

Manny Diaz, the current defensive coordinator for the Hurricanes, has managed to extract some of the best performances from his team. Even Dana Holgorsen, West Virginia University’s current head football coach, has admitted that the Hurricanes offered the best defense that the Mountaineers faced all year. This recent victory also marked the first time since the 2001 NFL championship season that the Hurricanes won five consecutive games.

No doubt, Andre Johnson retired from the NFL quite a while ago but he will forever remain a part of the Jordan Brand family and keep receiving gifts like this latest Air Jordan 11 PE. Andre Johnson was actually attending the Russell Athletic Bowl when he was spotted rocking this sneaker and since he used to play for the Miami Hurricanes, it is dressed up in his former team’s color scheme. Hence, the tumbled leather uppers of this AIr Jordan 11 iteration are dressed up in a combination of Green and Orange.

Andre John’s Air Jordan 11 PE will obviously not be arriving at retailers since it is a one-of-one pair that was designed exclusively for him. However, Jordan Brand will likely not end up dropping any Hurricanes-themed kicks any time soon, at least not until the team is affiliated with adidas.
