The Air Jordan 9 NRG Boot “Black/Gum” & “Olive” Have Arrived For Winter

Sneakerheads may have come across the term “NRG” when reading about several recent Air Jordan releases 2017. Information available online suggests that the term “NRG” is a shortened form of “Energy,” but no one seems to know what it actually means and might be referring to. The usage of this term can be traced back to Nike releases like the Air Yeezy 2 NRG. This suggests that NRG might be referring to the fact that the sneaker in question will be extremely limited. If this is what NRG refers to, then sneakerheads better be prepared for the upcoming arrival of the two Air Jordan 9 NRG Boot colotrways.

Perhaps one of Jordan Brand’s most luxurious sneakerboot releases of 2017 was the knee-high Air Jordan 15 Boot that was designed in collaboration with Public School New York. PSNY’s Dao-Yi Chow and Maxwell Osborne worked together with Jordan Brand on one of their most extensive, collaborative collection to date. The Air Jordan 15 Knee-High Boot and the rest of the collection were unveiled at New York Fashion Week Spring 2018, during PSNY’s runway show there. On September 10th, PSNY made an announcement via their official Instagram account, revealing the location of the pop-up shop where this collection was exclusively available.

By now, most sneakerheads probably already know about the two Air Jordan 9 NRG Boot colorways that Jordan Brand was reportedly planning to drop as a part of their Air Jordan releases 2017 for winter. The “Olive” colorway was the first one to be unveiled and then it was revealed that this NRG Boot variation of the Air Jordan 9 would also be arriving in a “Black/Gum” colorway as well. Considering that they are supposed to mimic winter boots, it is not surprising that these Air Jordan 9 NRG Boot colorways look so rugged. Fortunately, sneakerheads no longer have to wait to cop both or either of these sneakerboots.

Initially, it was uncertain if these two sneakerboots would actually end up joining this month’s Air Jordan releases 2017, but sneakerheads can now set their doubts aside. The Air Jordan 9 NRG Boot “Black/Gum” and “Olive” have already made their retail debut on the Nike SNKRS app on December 6th, 2017 and they are currently available for $225.
