The Air Jordan 8 “Valentine’s Day” Is Apparently Themed Like A Red Rose

As is the case with most special occasions, Jordan Brand has continued to drop a special Air Jordan colorway for the ladies on Valentine’s Day over the past couple of years. Back in 2016, it was the Air Jordan 12 GS “Vivid Pink.” The colorway sported a balanced combination of Vivid Pink and White, while Chrome appeared over its mudguards and Metallic Silver covered its lace eyelets. The Air Jordan 12 “Vivid Pink” actually ended up making its retail debut after Valentine’s Day, on March 5th, 2016. As every year, upcoming Air Jordan releases 2018 will also include a Valentine’s Day release, this year of the Air Jordan 8.

Last year, i.e. in 2017, Jordan Brand back to its roots and selected the Air Jordan 1 to be silhouette to receive the special “Valentine’s Day” treatment. It was one of three Air Jordan 1 colorways unveiled at that time, one of which celebrated Serena Williams’ 2017 Australian Open Victory. Overall, the sneaker was dressed up in a combination of Black, Hyper Pink and White. Its heel overlays and NikeSwoosh” logos were made up of reflective material. Additionally, its heels also featured the basketball heart branding that has been exclusive to Jordan Brand’s Valentine’s Day releases ever since 2010.

The Air Jordan 8 “Valentine’s Day” is relatively different from the previous two annual releases because it does not feature a hint of pink. Instead, its premium suede uppers are completely dressed up in Red, giving it a red rose-like appearance. Additionally, the left and right strap of the sneaker has the phrases “Loves me…” and “Loves me not…” printed beneath them. The heart-shaped logo mentioned above can also be spotted on the tongues. Moreover, this special sneaker will be contained inside a seemingly retro box and a monochromatic tissue paper that is covered in images of roses.

Much like Jordan Brand’s previous Valentine’s Day colorways, this one that is set to join upcoming Air Jordan releases 2018 is also a women’s-exclusive that will be available in up to a men’s 10.5 extended sizing. Fortunately, the Air Jordan 8 “Valentine’s Day” will be making its retail debut before the special day on February 9th, 2018, so guys can grab a pair at a price of $190 from select retailers and gift it to their significant others.
