An Air Jordan 7 Worn Back Ray Allen In 2002 Returns In 2019

Following his recent 2018 Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame induction, Ray Allen is suggesting that his retirement may not be as permanent as it may seem. Following the induction he was recently interviewed on The Dan Patrick Show where he alluded to the possibility of a comeback to play along LeBron James as a member of the Los Angeles Lakers. He admitted that he could play right now. For his Hall of Fame induction, Jordan Brand recently gifted him an Air Jordan PE set. Reportedly, among next year’s Air Jordan releases 2019 will be a colorway of the Air Jordan 7 that has apparently been dubbed “Ray Allen.”

Even though he admittedly could play right now, Ray Allen revealed that he is not interested in doing so. He admitted that he would have to refuse, even if LeBron James called him to return to the sport. Apparently though, he could potentially “think about it” if he were to receive $10 million. Of course, if he ever does return to join LeBron James, it would not be the first time the two have played together. LeBron James and Ray Allen actually teamed up during the 2012–13 NBA season. Had they not played together, the Miami Heat would perhaps not have been victorious in the 2013 NBA Finals.

Next year’s Air Jordan 7 “Ray Allen” will actually be one of the two exclusive colorways of the model that he wore back in 2002. Ray Allen has been a part of the Jordan Brand family since 1997. Back in 2002, while he was a member of the Milwaukee Bucks, he rocked a “Home” and an “Away” colorway of the Air Jordan 7, both of which never hit the shelves. Apparently, it will be the “Away” colorway that will join next year’s Air Jordan releases 2019 during the summer. The photo at the top should give you an idea of what this colorway is going to look like.
