Many 23isBack readers may have already copped one of this year’s Air Jordan 6 pairs or are looking forward to ones that have not yet been released. The Air Jordan 6 “History of Jordan” is one of the latter because the release date of this pair has not been confirmed yet. However, it is very likely that it will be among the upcoming Jordan release dates 2014.
In previous posts it had been mentioned that this year happens to be the 23rd anniversary of Air Jordan 6. Jordan Brand has become known for doing something special whenever one of their signature sneakers turns 23, considering that it was his number in the NBA. Jordan 6 “History of Jordan” is a prime example of this. Since the sneaker landscape has been dominated by the red leather trend for quite some time now, it will not be surprising when this brand new colorway turns heads. Moreover, this new jordans has apparently been designed to be a reflection of Michael Jordan’s on-court success.
For 23isBack readers who did not manage to get their hands on the “Infrared 23” release of Jordan 6, this “History of Jordan” gives them another chance to cop a red colorway. This pair has been dubbed “History of Jordan” in honor of Michael Jordan’s on-court legacy. The all red colorway sporting a white midsole, an accolade to his reign as a Chicago Bulls member, really brings these kicks to life.
The all red upper also features black and green finishes on the heel and tongue. Perhaps most interesting and notable is the pattern that the interior collar features, which is somewhat of a Spiz’ike-like print or similar to that of Jordan 6 “Motorsport.” At the same time, the pattern also appears to be a mashup of symbols related to Michael Jordan’s NBA reign, such as “MVP.” Jordan Brand has not publically announced a release date, but it will likely be included among upcoming Jordan release dates 2014. Maybe 2015 jordan releases.
