This Air Jordan 6 GS “Navy Blue” With Suede Uppers Is A GS-Exclusive

Not only had 1991 been the year in which Michael Jordan had lead the Chicago Bulls to their first NBA championship victory, it had also been the year in which he wore the Air Jordan 6 after it debuted. It was not until 2000 that the Air Jordan 6 had received the retro treatment for the very first time and the new colorways that had been released had featured the “Jumpman” in place of the original “Nike Air” logo. In 2002, Jordan Brand had also dropped a variation of the model in low-top form as well as colorways that had been available exclusively in women’s sizes.

air-jordan-6-gs-navy-blue-1The latest Air Jordan 6 release that has just been unveiled is also for small-footed sneakerheads, i.e. it is a GS-exclusive. Between 2002 and 2010, several one-time releases of the Air Jordan 6 had also hit the shelves, but it had not been until 2010 that Jordan Brand had started dropping retro iterations of the silhouette once again. 2014 had marked the 23rd Anniversary of the Air Jordan 6 and that year, Jordan Brand had once again released numerous new and old renditions through the year. Many different colorways of the model have been a part of 2016’s Jordan releases, including both GS- and regular-sized ones.

As mentioned, this latest one will only be available in GS sizes. The latest photos of this colorway were shared by @zsneakerheadz on Instagram and for those who cannot make it out; its uppers are made up of suede and appear to be quite monochromatic. Hence, its suede uppers are in a single hue, which is Navy Blue. Even the non-suede portions of this sneaker, namely the branding, inner linings, lace locks and its plastic tongues are all covered in Navy Blue. The only other hue that appears is the White on the midsoles that have icy translucent outsoles beneath them.

Considering that this is an Air Jordan 6 rendition with suede uppers, many sneakerheads are probably wishing it would arrive in adult sizes too, although it is not going to. No release details are available yet, so keep checking back to find out when this Air Jordan 6 GS “Navy Blue” will make its retail debut.
