The Air Jordan 6 “Gatorade” Is Returning Either By The End Of 2017 Or In 2018

It is no secret that Mark Wahlberg, a celebrity sneakerhead, has quite a strong connection with Jordan Brand. Just back in November 2016, Mark received a pair of the Air Jordan 11Suede” earlier than everyone else. The very next month, an episode his reality television series Wahlburgers showed him paying a visit to Nike’s Oregon headquarters for his collaboration with Jordan Brand. Working with Jordan Brand, Mark Wahlberg ended up designing three new colorways of the Jordan Formula 23. One of the photos showing Mark Wahlberg seated inside Nike’s Oregon headquarters, a rather unexpected sneaker was spotted on the table before him, an Air Jordan 6Gatorade.”

Rumor has it that the Air Jordan 6 “Gatorade” might either be joining the Holiday Air Jordan releases 2017 and if not, could likely end up being among next year’s Air Jordan releases 2018. The colorway apparently draws inspiration from the iconic “Be Like Mike” Gatorade commercial. The commercial probably holds a lot of nostalgia for fans of Michael Jordan and sneakerheads alike. It was one of the most iconic commercials of his career and even featured a song with the same title as the commercial itself. While the commercial originally aired back in 1991, but Gatorade brought it back in 2016 due to its successful campaign.

Currently, there is no actual photo of the sneaker itself, apart from that brief glimpse in a screenshot from the mentioned episode of Wahlburgers. The photo above is just a Photoshop rendering of what the sneaker could possibly end up looking like but it may actually appear different once it is revealed. However, since it draws inspiration from that iconic “Be Like Mike” commercial, it can be assumed that the Air Jordan 6 “Gatorade” will be dressed up in a color scheme of Green, Orange and White. Those are the colors visible on the Gatorade logo.

Other than the above, there is no way of knowing what the Air Jordan 6 “Gatorade” will really look like, so keep checking back for more updates. If this sneaker does not end up being a part of Jordan Brand’s Holiday Air Jordan releases 2017, it will surely be joining next year’s Air Jordan releases 2018.
