The Air Jordan 33 was finally unveiled on September 20th during an immersive experience that was hosted in Los Angeles. Alongside the Air Jordan 33, Jordan Brand also showcased the Jordan Apex-Utility and the Jordan Proto-REACT, both of which are a part of an upcoming Nike Air Jordan REACT Range. In addition to these unveilings, the latest range of Jordan Brand apparel was also up on display and some wear-testing challenges took place as well. Jordan Brand’s latest signature sneaker model is scheduled to join the Air Jordan releases 2018 in October. Jordan Brand has even unveiled a brand new upcoming Air Jordan 33 colorway dubbed “Tech Pack.”
As you know by now, the Air Jordan 33 comes equipped with Nike’s brand new and innovative FastFit technology. Instead of laces, each shoe features an elastic band featuring a tab that reads “PULL.” This system actually draws inspiration from jet ejection seats. The elastic band is connected to cables and tugging on it tightens those cables, securely locking each shoe around the wearer’s foot. Also a part of this system is a stripped, Black- and Yellow-colored looped cable, present towards the inner side of each shoe. Pulling that cable loosens the cables, making it effortless for the wearer to take off the Air Jordan 33.
The “Tech Pack” colorway of the Air Jordan 33 that you see here is inspired by the colors that are typically featured on the space suits of astronauts. Hence, it is dressed up in a combination of Black, Dark Smoke Grey and Sail. The combination of Black and Red is somewhat a reference to previous “Bred” colorways. Some Gold-colored detailing can be spotted as well. Its heel tabs also feature a unique “Nike Air” branding that combines those featured on the Air Jordan 3, Air Jordan 4, Air Jordan 5, and the Air Jordan 6. Last but not least, its soles are mostly plain White.
This Air Jordan 33 “Tech Pack” will make its retail debut October 1st, 2018 at a price of $175, but will initially be available only in Asia. However, it will eventually join this year’s Air Jordan releases 2018 scheduled to arrive in the United States.
