The Air Jordan 31 Is Receiving The “Black Toe” Treatment In January 2017

Back in November 2016, Jordan Brand hosted the grand opening of their new retail location in Paris, which is named Jordan Bastille. Jordan Brand’s flagship store in Paris is located at 12 rue du Faubourg Saint-Antoine, where some very diverse and varied restocks took place on the day of its grand opening, i.e. November 24th, 2016. Even a video featuring some of 2016’s most popular releases was teased by Jordan Bastille. Among the sneakers that got restocked, Jordan Brand also brought back the Air Jordan 1Black Toe.” While that sneaker is not making another comeback this year, but the theme has been reimagined on the Air Jordan 31.

air-jordan-31-black-toe-2The “Black Toe” is one of Jordan Brand’s most well-known color schemes/themes. The Air Jordan 1 “Black Toe” was one of the original Air Jordan 1 releases and Jordan Brand had first dropped it back in 1985. The sneaker was essentially dressed up in Black, Red and White, getting its nickname from the Black-colored overlays around each toe box. Although technically not the same, Jordan Brand has a similar variation of the Air Jordan 13 dubbed the “Grey Toe” that made its very first retail debut back in 2005. Jordan Brand later dropped as a retro release in Fall 2014.

This year it seems that the Air Jordan 31 is received the “Black Toe” treatment and this will be the very first Air Jordan 31 colorway to be joining the Air Jordan releases 2017. Of course, this Air Jordan 31 iteration draws inspiration from the Air Jordan 1 “Black Toe.” Thus, its Flyweave uppers features a gradient effect that transforms from White to Black towards the toe boxes. Its all-White heels are actually made up of leather, while Black-colored “Jumpman” branding and the faded NikeSwoosh” logo can be spotted on the sides. Along with being equipped with icy translucent outsoles, its Flywire cables, lace eyelets and midsoles sport hits of Red.

air-jordan-31-black-toe-32017 will obvious will filled with some very exciting releases from Jordan Brand, but sneakerheads will not have to wait too long for this one. Along with publishing official photos of the sneaker, Jordan Brand has also confirmed that the Air Jordan 31 “Black Toe” will be debuting on January 7th, 2017 and will retail for $185.
