These Air Jordan 3 PE Colorways Were Designed For Four College Basketball Teams

The NCAA basketball off-season is known for being quite eventful. It is during this period that NBA teams begin recruiting collegiate basketball players to join their ranks. Consequently, it also becomes somewhat of an adjustment period for players who are transferred to new teams. Furthermore, the 2018 NBA Draft is scheduled to take place on June 21st and the “Early Entry Entrant Withdrawal Deadline” from the draft is June 11th. As of now, Jordan Brand is the sponsor of four intercollegiate men’s basketball teams and since it is the 30th anniversary of the Air Jordan 3 this year, they whipped up a special PE colorway for each team.

If you are a basketball enthusiast, you are likely excited about everything that will end up unfolding over the course of the next NCAA basketball season. Of course, rosters for the next season cannot be 100% confirmed until 2018 NBA Draft officially takes place, but subjective speculation is still actively underway. Overall, it ends up proving to be a win-loss situation for both college and NBA teams. Often, college basketball teams end up losing some of their best players and replacing those players is not an easy task. Nonetheless, it is a cycle that has been going on for quite some time now.

The four college basketball teams that Jordan Brand currently sponsors include the Georgetown Hoyas, the Marquette Golden Eagles, the Michigan Wolverines, and Michael Jordan’s former team, the North Carolina Tar Heels. The photo accompanying this post, and several others of this Air Jordan 3 “College” PE set, was shared on Instagram by ENGLISH SOLE – Rare Sneakers (@englishsole). Each colorway is dressed up in the official colors of each respective team. Each university’s logo can be spotted on the tongues and the inner sides feature a distinct message. It is unlikely that any of these colorways will be hitting the shelves since these were exclusively designed for the players.
