As seen on 23isBACK.me, there seems to have been plenty of Air Jordan 2 colorways among the New Jordans 2014 that have already been released this year or are set to be released. One of them is the “Night Shade” colorway of the Air Jordan 2. However, it would not be wrong to say that the colorway is perhaps among the most unexpected and unusual versions of the Air Jordan II that have been released till date.
The “Safari” print that is featured on this pair has apparently been borrowed from a certain Nike shoe from the 1980s, among other details. The reflective piping that can be seen on this colorway is nothing like anything that has ever been seen on Jordan shoes in the past. Back when images of the Air Jordan II “Night Shade” had started surfacing, it was believed that it was a one of one pair, especially when Chris Paul, the Jordan Brand athlete, was spotted sporting the shoes.
However, it was quite fortunate for Jordan Brand fans that can now see this new colorway up close and even cop a pair since it had arrived at retailers on May 17. As mentioned, it is not really clear what might have inspired Jordan Brand footwear designers to design this pair. Nonetheless, this sneaker features an upper in the dark nightshade color and a pebbled Safari print on the ankle support and toe. The black midsole features Volt speckles with a Volt Ice beneath it under it.
Although the Air Jordan “Night Shade” is now up for grabs on eBay and from select retailers, apart from Chris Paul, rapper Fat Joe also added this Air Jordan II colorway to his collection along with a pair of Air Jordan 2 “Infrared/Speckle.” While the pair definitely looks quite wearable, stay tuned to 23isBACK.me to learn about how well these kicks have been doing ever since their release.
