Different sneakerheads have varying opinions when it comes to low-top Air Jordan sneakers. Some are fond of them as much as any other Jordan release date 2017 and have no problems with copping low-cut pairs, while others prefer sticking with the high- and mid-top releases from Jordan Brand and Nike. However, regardless of popular opinion, there have been plenty of famous Air Jordan Low colorways that had looked much better than they would have in a high or mid cut. While 2016 has proven to be the year of the Air Jordan 12, in 2017 it will apparently be at the forefront of receiving the low-top treatment.
It turns out that Jordan Brand’s Jordan releases 2017 will somewhat mark the return of the Air Jordan 12 “Playoff,” but this time it will be in low-cut form. Despite being a low-top variation of the original colorway, it still appears to look precisely the same. Hence, its color scheme is also pretty simple, with premium leather uppers that are predominantly covered in Black, while its midsoles and overlays are dressed up in White. Metallic Silver also makes an appearance, namely over the eyelets, mudguards and outsoles, Varsity Red can also be spotted on the heels, over the “23” back there and the tongue branding.
However, it seems that 2017 will also mark the retail debut of another low-top Air Jordan 12 rendition. The color scheme of this Air Jordan 12 Low colorway suggests that it could potentially be a nod to the recent partnership between Jordan Brand and University of Michigan. The color scheme appears to be relatively monochromatic, and its uppers seem to be made up of a combination nubuck with leather overlays on top. The uppers are almost entirely dressed up in a Grey hue, while its heels, insoles and outsoles feature contrasting Navy Blue- and Yellow-colored detailing.
Apparently, Jordan Brand has no intention of pulling the Air Jordan 12 away from the spotlight even in 2017. Despite a lack of any confirmation, these two low-top variations of the twelfth model will reportedly be among Jordan releases 2017 to arrive at select Jordan Brand and Nike retailers.
