Several Air Jordan 12 colorways have made their way to retailers since the beginning of this year and at least a few more will likely arrive in the coming months, such as the “International Flight” iteration. Back in November 2017, it was revealed that Jordan Brand had teamed up with Public School New York once again to design a special Air Jordan 12 colorway for the Michigan Timberwolves. Naturally, it was assumed that members of the football team would be the only ones who would be able to lace up in the PSNY x Air Jordan 12. Surprisingly, a variation will be joining this year’s Air Jordan releases 2018.
You might already be aware that Jordan Brand is currently the apparel provider of the Michigan Wolverines football team. In addition to the Air Jordan 12 itself, Jordan Brand actually designed some special apparel for the team as well. Along with apparel for the players, they also whipped up an exclusive pair of khaki slacks for the team’s head coach, Jim Harbaugh. Of course, this was not the first time that PSNY has teamed up with Jordan Brand or has worked on the Air Jordan 12. For instance, a PSNY x Air Jordan 12 Collection was released, which included “Milan,” “NYC” and “Paris” colorways of the model.
The version featured here, which will be among this month’s Air Jordan releases 2018, is actually not the same as the one from last year that PSNY collaboratively designed. Similar to last year’s exclusive version, the Air Jordan 12 iteration has tonal, suede uppers that are dressed up almost entirely in a Navy hue. Completing the Michigan Wolverines color scheme, a Maize hue appears on the heel tabs, lace loops, the “M” logo on the right tongue, the plastic piece at each midfoot. Jordan Brand has actually confirmed that this Air Jordan 12 “Michigan” version will make its retail debut on June 23rd, 2018 at a price of $225.
