It may seem unusual, but avid sneakerheads have actually laced up in Air Jordan pairs for their graduation ceremony. Jordan Brand decided to offer something more exquisite to this year’s graduating sneakerheads as a part of the Air Jordan releases 2018. That is how the Air Jordan 11 “Cap and Gown,” with cord-like laces, metallic “Jumpman” branding and suede uppers, came to be, and made its retail debut on May 26th. This was likely what got Jordan Brand to put together the “Back To School” Collection. The second colorway from the collection, the Air Jordan 12 “Class of 2003” inspired by Chris Paul’s graduation will soon arrive at retailers.
The Air Jordan “Back To School” Collection
Jordan Brand officially unveiled the Air Jordan “Back To School” Collection back in late June. It was revealed that this collection includes special colorways of the Air Jordan 10, Air Jordan 12 and Air Jordan 13. It was revealed that each of these three colorways draws inspiration from the high school graduation of Russell Westbrook, Chris Paul and Carmelo Anthony. The Russell Westbrook-inspired Air Jordan 10 “Class of 2006” already made its retail debut on June 30th at a price of $190. The Carmelo Anthony-inspired Air Jordan 10 “Class of 2002” is scheduled to make its retail debut on September 15th, 2018.
The Air Jordan 12 “Class of 2003”
It must be obvious by now that the Air Jordan 12 “Class of 2003” draws inspiration from Chris Paul’s graduation from West Forsyth High School in Clemmons, North Carolina back in 2003. This Air Jordan 12 iteration from the “Back To School” Pack sports the color scheme of the West Forsyth Wolverines basketball team. Hence, its suede uppers are completely dressed up in Olive Green, while being equipped with Sail-colored soles. It also appears to be featuring Metallic Gold “Jumpman” branding and upper lace eyelets. This Air Jordan 12 “Class of 2003” is set to make its retail debut on August 11th, 2018 at a price of $190.
