As fans of Michael Jordan might recall, the G.O.A.T. once participated in a single minor baseball league season back in 1994 as a member of the Birmingham Baron. As of lately, comparisons are being made between Michael Jordan Tim Tebow, regarding who is better at baseball. 23 years have already passed since Michael Jordan debut in his one and only professional baseball season. The Birmingham Barons was chosen as Michael Jordan’s first team because the Double-A Southern League had a lot of talented athletes. Jordan Brand has not forgotten Michael Jordan’s former team because the Air Jordan 11 Low colorway inspired by them is arriving soon.
It seems that Tim Tebow, who currently plays as an outfielder for the Columbia Fireflies, has managed to score the same number of home runs that Michael Jordan did following his debut back in 1994. Along with a double, Tim recently scored the third home run of this season. It seems that by the time this season comes to an end, Tim’s home runs are going to surpass his career touchdown passess. This is the reason there seems to be a debate going on over who is the better baseball athlete. Tim may have scored as many home runs, but he certainly does not have his own line of sneakers.
Sneakerheads have already known for a while now that Michael Jordan’s eleventh signature model is joining this year’s upcoming Air Jordan releases 2017 in a low-top Barons-inspired colorway. Even though, Nike already published official photos of this sneaker by the end of 2016, Jordan Brand recently also unveiled it as a part of their Summer 2017 Retro Collection. However, these latest photos accompanying this post are from Solebox.com. As many sneakerheads probably know and have seen, its nubuck uppers are dressed up almost entirely in Ash Grey, including its patent leather mudguards. It is also equipped with Black-colored leather detailing, Metallic Silver-colored branding, and matching White-colored midsoles and outsoles.
It was reported a couple of days ago that this Birmingham Barons-inspired colorway of Michael Jordan’s eleventh signature silhouette will be available in full family sizing. Sneakerheads will also not have to wait much longer because this Air Jordan 11 Low “Barons” is finally ready to make its retail debut at a price of $175 on May 27th, 2017.
