The Air Jordan 11 is the model that Michael Jordan rocked during some of his finest games. Like most other popular silhouettes from Jordan Brand, the Air Jordan 11 was also designed by Tinker Hatfield and it is unlikely that anyone could guess this, but he actually drew inspiration from a lawnmower. Over the years, the Air Jordan 11 has arrived in innumerable colorways and arguably, one of its most popular ones was the “Concord” colorway that Jordan Brand originally dropped back in 1995. The Air Jordan 11 “Concord” is scheduled to make a comeback once again in retro form, joining next year’s Jordan releases 2018.
At the time of its debut, the Air Jordan 11 was one of the lightest models Jordan Brand had ever developed because of the carbon fiber plate that each shoe was equipped with. Of course, one of the most prominent, signature highlights of the sneaker is the glossy patent leather overlays that it features. The Air Jordan 11 “Concord” was one of Tinker Hatfield’s best designs. Following its original debut back in 1995, the sneaker received the retro treatment twice, once in 2000 and then again in 2011. Despite having been available thrice, it is still one of the most coveted Air Jordan colorways.
It must be noted that the “Concord” was the first colorway of the Air Jordan 11 and its color scheme emphasized the model to the maximum. Despite being a retro, next year’s version can be expectedly to closely resemble the original. Hence, it will have predominantly clean White-colored uppers with its glossy patent leather mudguards covered in sleek Black. Its signature Concord hue will also appear throughout and it will be equipped with icy, translucent outsoles. The original was actually a PE that Michael Jordan wore, which featured his team number “45” over its heels, and there is a possibility that next year’s retro version will feature it too.
Sneakerheads who are eager to cop a pair of this highly-coveted colorway will have to wait longer than they may think for it to be available once again. According to SOLEHEATONFEET “SHOF,” the Air Jordan 11 “Concord” will return in retro form quite late next year, joining October’s Air Jordan releases 2018.
