Amidst the final Air Jordan releases 2019, this year will mark the comeback of the Air Jordan 11 “Bred” during the Holiday Season. Back in November 2015, Nike whipped up a special colorway of the Air Trainer SC that borrowed and drew inspiration from the Air Jordan 11 “Bred.” Much like the Air Jordan 11, the mudguards of the Air Trainer SC were also made up of patent leather. It was also dressed up in the same color scheme of Black, Varsity Red and White. After having been re-released twice before in 2001 and 2012, the Air Jordan 11 “Bred” itself is returning once again.
Originally, Michael Jordan laced up in the Air Jordan 11 “Bred” during the 1996 NBA Playoffs. This was after Michael Jordan’s return from his first retirement. Hence, it is after almost 24 years that this iconic and memorable colorway of the Air Jordan 11 is making its comeback in its original form. This means that its heels will feature “45” instead of the usual “23,” just like the original. Also like the original, it will have all-Black uppers with plain White midsoles, and Varsity Red appearing over the branding and outsoles. The Air Jordan 11 “Bred” is set to return and join the Air Jordan releases 2019 in December.
