Considering that 2015 is just two months away, it is only natural that Jordan Brand’s focus will be centered on Air Jordan 7, in celebration of the silhouette’s 23rd anniversary. However, the OG Remastered colorways of the Air Jordan 7 are not the only new jordans of this silhouette that 23isBack readers can look forward to next year. Although this post is about the one of the earliest Jordan release dates 2015, it has nothing to do with the Air Jordan 7.
Apart from the Jordan VII’s 23rd anniversary, 2015 will also mark three decades of excellent for Jordan Brand. In other words, it is also the 30th anniversary of the Air Jordan 1 as well, and so part of Jordan Brand’s attention will also be diverted towards this particular model too. In fact, the brand’s very first sneaker silhouette will be receiving a special laser etching. Air Jordan sneakers featuring some kind of laser etching on their upper have often been the least favorite of many Jordan heads, but perhaps the pair that is being brought back by Jordan Brand in 2015 may change their mind.
As can be seen, this sneaker has an almost-monochromatic off-white upper with a muted pure platinum finish. The heel features a unique print and the Nike swoosh on the sides are apparently made of 3M reflective material. What makes this “30th Anniversary” colorway of the Air Jordan I Retro stand out is the intricately-detailed laser etched overlays and a special insole lining the interior, featuring a 30th Anniversary Jumpman logo.
One of the earliest Jordan release dates 2015 has already been decided and confirmed by Jordan Brand for this Air Jordan 1 Retro “30th Anniversary.” Limited quantities of this sneaker will be arriving at select Jordan Brand retailers and will also be available online, on Nike.com. February 7 has been announced as the official release date for this colorway that will be commemorating the 30th Anniversary of this silhouette.
