This Air Jordan 1 Retro “Chameleon” Is Jordan Brand’s Second All-Star Weekend Release

The NBA recently made the announcement that both Kyrie Irving and LeBron James have been voted to be among the Eastern Conference starters for the 2017 NBA All-Star Game. This is the first time that more than one starter for the event has been selected from the Cavaliers. This is also the eighteenth time that multiple athletes from the Cavaliers have been voted to the All-Star roster. Sneakerheads probably remember the Air Jordan 6Chameleon” that was unveiled back in 2016 as an All-Star Weekend release. It turns out that Jordan Brand has even designed an Air Jordan 1 “Chameleon” colorway for the All-Star Weekend.

The “Chameleon” colorway of Jordan Brand’s sixth signature model is also being referred to as the Air Jordan 6 “Chameleon.” It makes perfect sense considering that Jordan Brand intends to drop the sneaker during the All-Star Weekend. It was during the first few days of December 2016 that sneakerheads got their first glimpse of the Air Jordan 1 Retro High “Chameleon” courtesy of the photos that user @2muchsol3 shared on Instagram. The latest photos of the Air Jordan 1 “Chameleon” that accompany this post were also shared on Instagram, but this time they come from user @swish.supply, who did not mention any other details about its release.

As can be seen in the photo that @swish.supply posted on Instagram, the leather uppers of the Air Jordan 1 “Chameleon” appear to be predominantly dressed up in a Black and White color scheme. This iteration apparently gets its “Chameleon” nickname from the iridescent hue that appears over the sneaker’s ankles, heels and toe boxes. This iridescent hue is the same as the one that covers most of the uppers of the Air Jordan 6 “Chameleon.”

Coincidentally, both of these sneakers are scheduled to arrive during the 2017 NBA All-Star Weekend. The Air Jordan 6 “Chameleon” will arrive at retailers, either on February 16th or 17th, 2017. As for the Air Jordan 1 Retro High “Chameleon” featured here, its release has been confirmed for February 19th, 2017 and each of its pairs will retail at a price of $160.
