This past Holiday Season, Jordan Brand commemorated the celebrated and famed 1995-96 NBA season of the Chicago Bulls. During that historical season, the Bulls were on their way to win the championship for the fourth time and after having scored 72 regular game victories with merely 10 losses. Hence, the annual Holiday Season colorway of the Air Jordan 11 was dubbed the “72-10” and it was one of the must-have sneakers of 2015. Now that it’s 2016, the Chinese New Year is approaching, so The Remade and 400ml Clothing look to celebrate the occasion with the Jordan releases of a special Air Jordan 11 rendition.
Jordanheads will agree that the Air Jordan 11 is one of Jordan Brand’s most beloved models, which they first introduced back in 1996. Soon after Michael Jordan donned the Air Jordan 11, he ended up winning the MVP award two times. Hence, it makes perfect sense for a momentous occasion like Chinese New Year to be celebrated with a new custom Air Jordan 11 edition designed by The Remade. While it is impossible to know whether Jordan Brand will ever drop an all-red colorway of the Air Jordan 11 in the future, but a few lucky Jordanheads might manage to get their hands on The Remade’s and 400ml Clothing’s custom creation.
This custom sneaker has been dubbed The Remade x 400ml Clothing Air Jordan 11 “Chinese New Year.” Despite the lack of Jordan Brand’s contribution and/or participation, the collaboration between these two brands has resulted in the creation of a custom of an all-red Air Jordan 11 iteration. Its upper features tonal red accents, while the traditional patent leather mudguard overlay has been replaced with premium nubuck that is also covered in red. Moreover, the sneaker also sports additional White accents.
The unofficial Jordan release 2016 of this custom The Remade x 400ml Clothing Air Jordan 11 “Chinese New Year” is taking place on January 18th. However, it should not come as a surprise that the retail price of the entire package, which will also include a bamboo box, a handkerchief and a special snapback, will be $988.
