Apart from being one of the best rappers of all time, Eminem has also been an avid sneakerhead for quite a long time. Not only that, he has even been fortunate enough to collaborate with Jordan Brand on quite a few projects in the past. Among the sneakers that the collaboration between Eminem and Jordan Brand has produced is the Air Jordan 4 from 2005 that was a friends-and-family-exclusive that Jordanheads still wish to their hands on. Eminem has once again returned to collaborate with Jordan Brand, this time with Carhartt in the mix, for the auction Jordan release 2015 of a new Air Jordan 4 iteration.
Carhartt, is a family-owned company that is based in Michigan, which also happens to be Eminem’s home state. Hence, this is no ordinary collaboration. In fact, there are quite a few things about this collaboration that make it rather special and unique. Even a description of the Eminem x Carhartt x Air Jordan 4 is posted on Eminem’s official website. It reveals that the upper of this highly anticipated and coveted sneaker is made up of the renowned Carhartt canvas material, while Eminem’s and Shady Records’ graphics are also featured on the sneaker. As a nod to the 15th anniversary of ShadyXV, the label’s logo has been placed right below the iconic Jordan Jumpman branding. The heel of the sneaker even sports Eminem’s reversed “E” logo and trademark hockey mask.
As far as when and how the Eminem x Carhartt x Air Jordan 4 is going to be up for grabs, the Jordan release 2015 of this collaboration sneaker has already taken place but not in the usual way. First and foremost, Jordan Brand has only whipped up 10 pairs of this special Air Jordan iteration and rather than arriving at retail stores, they are being auctioned on eBay. While the starting price was between the range of $2,000 and $3,000, considering that the auctions are 10 days long, the price of these kicks can be expected to shoot up to five figure amounts.
